Exactly what does it mean to be a kingdom woman? A kingdom woman is known not only by what she is seen doing but also by what is unseen. “But the Lord said unto Samuel, look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth for the man looketh on the outward appearance but the Lord looked on the heart.” I Samuel 16:7 (KJV). As you see, people see things from a superficial perspective but God is cognizant of the things unseen.
Kingdom Woman: Embracing Your Purpose, Power, and Possibilities is a beautiful collaboration between Dr. Tony Evans, Founder and Senior Pastor, Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship and Founder and President, Urban Alternative in Dallas, Texas and his daughter, Chrystal Evans Hurst. This book is power-packed with the insight and knowledge necessary to help women to walk into who God has called them to be, kingdom women. Dr. Evans and Chrystal have provided pages upon pages of how women can create a foundation, purpose, faith, power, and embrace the fruit of possibilities in their everyday lives.
I am a part of women’s group at church where Kingdom Woman: Embracing Your Purpose, Power, and Possibilities was our assigned book. Each month we were assigned a Chapter to explore individually. Then we connected collectively to discuss the contents of the Chapter and delved deeper into our experiences with what we read for that month.
While I loved the book that Dr. Evans and Chrystal developed a few Chapters that resonated with me personally was A Woman of Commitment, The Possibilities of a Kingdom Woman’s Faith and A Kingdom Woman and Her Church because of the messages that these specific Chapters conveyed for me at this moment in my life. These Chapters offered me an anecdote that I can use immediately. When we have questions, we need answers and Kingdom Woman offers that and more. If you are seeking ways to become a kingdom woman this is the book for you.
