WHAT’S IN A NAME?

Whole Foods, Tesla, Sprouts, GEICO, Kroger, Macy’s, Nordstrom and Uber are all brand names.  Each name represents something different outside of their business industry.  Their businesses can be identified within the food, transportation, insurance or apparel industries but their names represent so much more.

Nordstrom is known for their personalized and focused customer services.  Tesla is the electric car that is taking the world by storm from the Roadster to the Model X.  When you see the green gecko on the commercial immediately GEICO comes to mind.

What’s in a name is important to what you are selling and the message that you are conveying to the customers about your goods and services.  Your name is your brand just like the image or symbol that you use to speak for your company.  Whether you are selling sweet potato pies like Patti LaBelle or a variety of cookies like the Girl Scouts your name is important and it says a lot about you, who you are and what you represent.  What is your name saying?
